Hundreds of your favourite movies may have disappeared from Netflix over 2016, but worry not, this is the result of the streaming service’s decision to add newer content by ending deals with older distributors. It was a brave move – particularly given that its main rivals, such as Hulu, jumped at the chance to take on some of those titles Netflix decided it no longer wanted, in the last three months of 2016, the company’s stock rose by 9% and Netflix had added over 7 million new subscribers.

Phone attachments are constantly upgrading

Scientists have built a smartphone attachment that can analyse your DNA, and it’s a fraction of the cost for lab-based kit. The creators of the  believe it could be mass produced for less than £406 a unit and that it could help doctors treat cancer, tuberculosis and other diseases more effectively than is sometimes possible in the developing world.
